Help: Rainmeter Skins • Re: Performance testing

I'm not that sure the number of meters matters so much when it comes to performance though, what matters more is their size on the screen, the complexity of the code, the Update of the skin, dynamic variables, that kind of stuff - in other words how much the skin has to compute and draw on the screen and how often it does it.
That's just it though. I did not change their on screen size. The placements and graphics should all be the same. I did not change the Measures so the calculations should also be the same. While it was less complex I don't think just this would account for the gains I noticed. In the original code it was set to run as fast as possible (0). If increased to even 10 or 15 it would visibly slow down. With the updated code I can push it up to about 20-25 without ill effects.

It might just be my chips crying. Being an older machine I can notice bottlenecks easier than most. On a modern faster box there may not be any visible gains. Just thought it was curious and I did not see a similar topic being discussed.
